This smoothie is best drunk first thing in the morning and even works as a breakfast replacer as it’s so thick and satisfying, not to mention absolutely PACKED with all the nutrients you could want as you start the day! INGREDIENTS

  • 1 chilli
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 broccoli
  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1 handful of kale
  • 1 pink grapefruit
  • 1/2 thumb size piece of fresh turmeric (or 1/2 tsp ground turmeric)
  • 1 thumb size piece of ginger
  • 500ml coconut water

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Use only the stalk of your broccoli (can save the heads for a stir-fry later!) and chop up before popping in the blender.
  • Cut the rough skin off the pineapple and chop before adding to the blender
  • Rip the kale leaves off the main vain/ stalk (as it’s really bitter and tough)
  • Squeeze the juice of the grapefruit into the blender
  • Pop in your ginger & turmeric (if fresh and organic then leave the skin on!)
  • Lastly, add in the coconut water and blend until gorgeous and smooth! Serving suggestions: Top with fresh chopped fig/ chilli flakes / cacao nibs
