Christmas is creeping upon us with serious momentum, so we’ve created the ultimate Vegan Gravy for you! This one is a real winner all-round and we promise it’ll satisfy both meat-free, and meat-full dudes alike.

It’s times like this that we just wish it was socially-acceptable to drink gravy…


  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • Vegetable oil
  • 500ml Veg stock
  • 4 tbsp Nutritional yeast
  • 4 tbsp Tamari
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder (or 4 cloves super-finely chopped)
  • 3tbsp Corn flour
  • 4 tbsp Olive oil


  • Put the pan on a high heat and add 1tbsp of vegetable oil
  • Finely chop one onion and add it in
  • Add the yeast and tamari to the warm veg stock
  • Mix in the garlic
  • Add a pinch of black pepper
  • Pour the stock into the pan
  • Grab your sieve and sieve the corn flour into the mix
  • Add 4tbsp olive oil
  • Have your jug ready for the final sieve and pour the mixture from the pan in
  • For a thicker consistency & stronger taste you can leave the mixture to simmer for longer.
