This week, in our Friends of The Happy Pear series, we chat with TV presenter, DJ, model, and fitness fanatic, Vogue Williams, about her new book, Everything, in which she gives a sneak peek into her day-to-day life, and offers advice on fitness, healthy eating, beauty, and style. We asked Vogue about finding balance in life, how she deals with stress, as well as her tips for getting a good night’s sleep. We hope you enjoy!
Congratulations on your new book, Everything, which is all about finding balance in life. How do you find balance in your life?
Do you ever struggle to find balance and what is your advice for those times when it’s difficult?
Do you think there is pressure on people nowadays to have it all?
I think that people put a lot of pressure on themselves. It’s important to take a step back and realise that no one’s life is perfect. Anything you see on Instagram is just a version of someone’s life that they want people to see. Everyone is putting their best foot forward on social media; for example, I don’t put photos of myself lying on the couch with pizza on my face!

How do you look after your mental health?
I find that exercise really helps with my mental health. It helps me to combat my anxiety, as well as encouraging me to eat better. Taking a step back from things, and making sure that I have time to chill out, is really important to me. I also don’t really drink alcohol that much anymore. I do go out and have a drink, but I keep it to once every two weeks or so.
