Which of your books are vegetarian and which are vegan?

We have 6 amazing books available, our first two books "The Happy Pear" and "World of The Happy Pear" contain both vegan and Vegetarian recipes. All of our other books are fully plant-based for further details on our books or to purchase one of our books please click here.

How can I make a complaint regarding a product I have purchased?

We are very sorry to read that you have had a poor experience with one of our products. Could you please fill out this form with details of the product you purchased . All details provided will help our quality manager to investigate your complaint further.
Once the form has been filled in, a member of the customer care team will be in touch with you directly regarding your complaint.

How can I make a sponsorship or charitable donation request?

Thank you for your interest in partnering with us for a good cause. Our sponsorship and charitable donations budget for this year has already been allocated to support a variety of worthwhile initiatives. Over the coming months, we will be selecting our charity partners for 2025.

How can I make a podcast guest recommendation?

We are always on the lookout for interesting guests to feature on our podcast! If you have someone in mind who you think would be a great fit, please email us at academy@thehappypear.ie with the details. We appreciate your suggestions and love discovering new voices and inspiring stories.


How can I make a media appearance request for David and Stephen?

David and Stephen have very busy schedules, and unfortunately, they cannot accept all media requests. However, we are always happy to review opportunities. Please email your request with full details to academy@thehappypear.ie, and one of our team members will get in touch with you.

I have some questions about your online courses - where can I send them?

If you have any questions about our online courses, Recipe Club or Whole Health Tribe membership please contact the team directly at academy@thehappypear.ie


Are the ingredients for the online courses difficult to find?

You should be able to find all the ingredients for our online courses in your local supermarket or health food store.


Are the courses suitable for coeliacs?

Gluten containing foods present on the courses can be replaced with gluten-free options or omitted completely.


Do I need to follow along live?

The course notes can be accessed at whatever time suits you and it is a self-led course, so you do not need to follow along live.


Is it ok if I don't start the day I purchase the course?

Absolutely! All of our courses are designed to be self-guided so you can complete them at your own pace. You will have access to the content for 1 year from the date of purchase which gives you plenty of time to smash it! Yes, this is fine, our courses are self-led - you can do them all at the pace that suits you.

Can I book a table?

We don't take bookings as our café operates on a walk-in basis, so just pop into us. Our opening hours are at the top of the page.


Do you have a menu online?

We change our menu everyday so we do not have a set menu online. What you will find is a selection on soups, sandwiches and a hot pot as well as some daily specials. We also have an amazing range of sourdough breads that are baked on site, selection of delicious vegan treats and lots of hot beverages including our self-roasted specialty coffee. Can I order food over the phone for collection?

We are not currently operating a phone in service.


Do you offer catering?

Yes, we offer catering services for any event or occasion! You can find more about our delicious, vegan catering service here.

How do I book a table for the Supper Club?

How can I cancel or amend my Supper Club booking?

If you need to cancel/ amend your Supper Club booking please email supperclub@thehappypear.ie


I think I’ve lost something at the cafe, how can I get in touch about this?

Please use the webform here and select “Church Road - Cafe, Shop & Supper Club”.
Make sure to include:

  • A brief description of the item
  • The date and time you were in the cafe
  • Your best contact details

One of our team members will check the lost and found and get back to you as soon as possible. Please note that items may not be returned to the lost and found until the end of the day, so it could take up to 24 hours for us to respond.


I think I was overcharged at the cafe, how can I get in touch about this?

We’re very sorry to hear this! Please use the webform here and select “Church Road - Cafe, Shop & Supper Club” and provide the following details:

  • Your full name and mobile number
  • The date and approximate time you were in the cafe/shop
  • The amount you were charged and the last 4 digits of your card (if used)

A senior manager will get in touch with you within 24 hours.


There were items missing and/or incorrect from my takeaway lunch, how can I get in touch about this?

Can I host an event at the cafe?

Hosting an event at the cafe depends on the type of event, dates, and the number of attendees. Please send an email to supperclub@thehappypear.ie and provide the following details:

  • The theme of your event, the date, duration, and number of attendees
  • Whether you will require food and drinks
  • If you will need service for the evening
  • If you need a PA system or access to power

Where do you sell Happy Pear Products?

Our Happy Pear Products are available in Supervalu and Centra stores in the Republic of Ireland as well as a large number of independent stores. Click here for Stockists.


How do I stock your products in my store?

Our products are currently being distributed in Ireland by Musgrave Marketplace.


Do you ship Products?

We do not ship our full range of products at this time. We ship a limited range of our products within the Republic of Ireland, including hamper and books. To see details on these items please click here. Our full range of food products is available online at Supervalu Online.

Farm

What kinds of veg will I receive?

Each week, you'll receive the freshest veg that is in season. We grow over 40 types of veg and strive to provide a wide variety week-to-week, so there's always something you love and never too much of something you're tired of.

Here's an example of what we are growing: Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Squash, Courgettes, Garlic, Carrots, Beetroot, Spinach, Rocket, Pak Choi, Cabbage, Broccoli, Lettuce, Purslane, Curly Kale, Cavolo Nero (Dark Kale), Rainbow Chard, Scallions, Asian Greens, Kohl Rabi, Purple Sprouting Broccoli, Radish, Mustard Greens, Brussel Sprouts


Are your vegetables organic?

Yes, we are licensed organic growers with the Organic Trust. We rigorously follow organic practices on the farm, meaning we use no synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, we use no GMOs, we focus on building up the soil health by using tons of organic compost and use minimal soil disturbance, as well as planting up habitats for pollinators. You're welcome to visit the farm to check and see how your veg is grown!


What if I don't know how to cook a certain vegetable?

Each week, you'll receive a newsletter with a list of what's in the box, along with recipes, and cooking inspiration to help you in the kitchen.


Can I get it delivered to my door?

Absolutely, we deliver in the local area. There will be an additional €5 charge for this.


How does payment work?

Similar to any subscription service, you provide your bank details only once and then payment will be taken each week after you receive your weekly veg box. You can pause or cancel your subscription at any time without penalty.


What if I go out of town and have to miss a box?

No problem. If you're heading out of town or going away on holidays, you can skip a week or two and you won't receive any produce on those weeks and you won't be charged either. Your next box will resume after this period and will continue as normal. You will need to log into your Veg Box account to do this and here is a link to a video showing you how to pause the box for a few weeks.


What if I need to cancel my weekly box?

If you're moving out of town or are dissatisfied with the box for any reason, you can cancel at any time. You will need to log into your Veg Box account to do this and here is a link to a video showing you how to pause the box for a few weeks and how to cancel it. If you could provide us with any feedback via email to farm@thehappypear.ie that we can learn from to help us improve our service, we would greatly appreciate it.

Gifts, Hampers & Gift Cards

Can I buy a gift voucher?

Of course! We have 2 different gift voucher offers - a gift card for use in our shop & cafe in Greystones and a digital gift voucher intended for our online courses or Recipe Club. Make sure to purchase the correct one as they aren't interchangeable.


Can I use my gift card online?

Our regular gift cards can only be used in store at our Happy Pear cafe and shop in Greystones. They cannot be used to purchase items from our website. If you are looking to purchase a shop / cafe gift card, please click here.


Can I buy a gift voucher for your online courses?

Yes, you can buy a gift voucher for our Whole Health Tribe membership. This will give access to all of our online courses. You can purchase this membership as a gift here.


Can I buy a gift voucher for your Recipe Club?

Yes, you can buy a gift voucher for our Recipe Club membership. This will give access to our wonderful Recipe Club with over 600 delicious plant based recipes. You can purchase this membership as a gift here.


Can gifts and hampers from your website be shipped outside of Ireland?

At this time we are only able to ship within the Republic of Ireland, to see the selection of items that we sell please click here.
