To keep your spinach fresh and full of life, pop it in the fridge wrapped in a damp tea towel or store it in an airtight container or reusable bag. This helps maintain humidity and prevents it from wilting too quickly. For best results, enjoy it within 3–5 days of delivery.
Got more than you can use? Blanch it for 30 seconds, then cool it quickly in ice water, drain well, and freeze in small portions. It’s perfect to add straight into soups, stews or smoothies later on — no waste, just green goodness.
Where does spinach come from?
Spinach originally comes from ancient Persia (modern-day Iran) and has been cultivated for over 2,000 years. It made its way to Europe in the Middle Ages and has been loved ever since for its fast growth and vibrant nutrients.
Is spinach better raw or cooked?
Both! Raw spinach is great in salads and smoothies, keeping its vitamin C content high. Cooked spinach, on the other hand, makes it easier for your body to absorb certain nutrients like iron, calcium, and beta-carotene.
Why do we love growing it on our regenerative farm?
Spinach is a cool-season crop that grows beautifully in our living, compost-rich soil. When grown without chemicals and harvested fresh, it’s bursting with flavour and nutrition. Plus, it’s fast-growing, full of fibre, and gives back to the soil as it grows — a win for you and for the land.
